Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M) is a Swedish clothing retail company known for its fast-fashion clothing for men, women, teenagers and children. H&M operate in 71 countries with over 4,800 stores and employed around 171,000 people. As a result, they are the second-largest global clothing retailer.
H&M were looking to launch a global Christmas campaign that was fun, family friendly and enticed people to buy from H&M’s Christmas collection. Even more, the challenge was that, being a global brand, this campaign had to resonate with multiple target audiences across multiple markets and languages.
We worked in collaboration with a London based film production company, as a result, we created this film which has had over 10 million views. To get over the challenge of multiple target audiences globally, we collaborated with an influencer that has a global audience to build trust and boost sales.
Rather than creating a traditional commercial made for TV, we took an omnichannel approach to the marketing strategy for global reach. Therefore, being able to directly reach the different target audiences on the platforms they use daily.
Due to trends moving towards digital marketing, we used social media marketing and advertising strategies to extend the reach of this campaign targeting H&Ms target audience.
