Red Bull is an Austrian company, which is well-known for its Red Bull energy drink. The company is also known for its sponsorship of a range of sporting events and teams. In 2016, a total of 6.062 billion cans of Red Bull were sold worldwide in over 171 countries. About 11,800 employees generated $7.4 billion in revenue
Red Bull wanted to create a short film for their huge amount of social media followers, to show how important the people within the extreme sports community means to them.
They wanted to show how they view life in a different way by creating a uniquely creative film.
As a result, with collaboration with Sony and a London based film production company, we created ‘Kaleidoscope’. Which follows the story of a young BMX rider, his passion of extreme sports and how he lives his life to the fullest, yet, in a different way to what is considered normal.
This short film was uniquely released on their own social media channels which collectively have over 60 million subscribers. This film was well received within their community, whom were highly engaged, shared and commented on this content. Engagement is Red Bull’s KPI (Key Performance Indicator) as they believe engagement on social media can be directly tied to product sales.
